Dr. Ikemefula Emmanuel Ekekwe, MD

I was extremely impressed with Dr Ekekwe. We was personable, very professional and took time to explain my condition and treatment. I liked the way he used his computer to locate information that helped me understand what he was discussing with me. I highly recommend Dr Ekekwe.

Dr. Ekekwe was very, very rude to me when I called him back after he had told me I had another nodule on my lung with was upsetting to hear. After I got over the shock, I called him back to ask more questions... He returned my call and in a rough tone said that "I needed to record our conversations" and I said " that I had no way to record any conversation and he said "neither did he". He had said that I needed to have a PET scan in three months.. I did not want to wait that long. Long story short we did not see eye to eye and I called my Insurance co. and told them of our conversation they were not very happy to hear how I was treated by Dr. Ekekewe and referred me to another Pulmonologist who seems to be more caring about my situation and I am now scheduled to have the PET scan this month. I will make sure that I will NEVER recommend Dr. Ekewke to any friends or family.

It was a very pleasant experience with this doc. I was very sacred of what type of diagnosis I might end up with and once we started talking dutring my consultation he really made me relax and went in real details explaing the signs and symptoms one by one. I was indeed very impressed.
