Dr. Ilene Garnick Goldman, MD

This was the very first time since visiting the Tricities Freestanding ER and not be completely satisfied with the doctor. The nurses were great as usual. However, on this visit, when my blood pressure was taken initially it was slightly elevated. Dr. Goldman ordered medication for the migraines and my blood pressure went from 170 something over 80 something as I do not have the results, but I looked on the monitor every time, to 233/116 which has never happened while being in that ER. Yes, I have gone in and it was very elevated before and was given medication in the IV. But never had medication ordered that was not for blood pressure to spike so much. Also I was not given any lab results for blood work, nor results of CT scan upon release. Now have to wait for the lab and CT scan results. Then there was the way in which she said she could not do a procedure in the ER to remove a chip from my body. That was when I felt very uncomfortable, as if I would be dumb enough to request… that. That is very condescending and in my opinion very unprofessional. She even asked me if I had the issues on Thursday, (brain freezing up) which was actually Friday and I did correct that more than once when speaking to her. To ask why I didn't come in Thursday? Well that cleared up. As a matter of fact because it seemed the person at BJ's could Iidentify the symptoms of fibromyalgia and understood, what I was experiencing and did not try to make me feel bad, she provided a better bedside manner than, Dr. Goldman. Dr.. Goldman, with the look and tone she used with me to suggest I even wanted her to remove anything from my body just took me totally somewhere else. Then she tells me she is increasing my amlodipine from 5 MG to 10. Well first the dose is 2.5MG. that I receive now. Not 5. Therefore, because the medications were working the past week that I had taken my medication and blood pressure at home and it was not until she, Dr. Goldman ordered medication for my headache that it spiked. I am on 3 other medications p and as I said they have been working. Lately my bp is very good. Both at home and on my doctors, visits. You factor in my pain from the migraines and feeling weak and out of it, and at the ER might explain the initial reading. The rating was for the staff who were great. They would be rated a 5 hands down. Doctors are people too, not God and should check their holier-than-thou attitude at the door. Or try to understand "all" their patients.

My son was taken to Princess Anne Medical Center and received outstanding care by the staff, particularly from Dr. Goldman. She examined him, and fully explained the treatment. there were no surprises. Thank you,
