Dr. Imad Shureiqi, MD

While this doctor was kind, and patient enough there are a couple of things that stood out to me after my second visit with him. The first being he is very hard to understand. When you ask a question, you get a very long response that you realize about thirty seconds in has nothing to do with your question and you never quite understand the point he is trying to make. The second is that I had a scan done, took the time to get all my scans together, pay to have them sent beforehand, with all my medical records. He waved off the fact the computers were acting up and he was unable to view any of it. He skimmed over the radiologists report, saying aloud pertinent information, and based his treatment plan on what the radiologist said. The icing on the cake is that fact that this was the Friday before the Labor Day weekend. The rooms were all being shut down, we were held in one so as to not dirty an exam room because they were closing early, and it was apparent I was the last… patient and they were all very anxious to take off for the holiday weekend. Not the stuff you would expect MD Anderson to be made of in any way, shape or form. Once you get a doctor there apparently you can't change. I tried prior to the visit and was refused. So read reviews and choose wisely. Remember you get to ask for any doctor you want in the beginning. I wish I had known.

The most caring doctor I've ever had! Very religious in nature with a lot of trust in God. His level of gastro/colon cancers is very extensive. He made us feel like we were his only patient. My husband feels like he saved his life and we will be forever grateful to him. I will very highly recommed him to others along with MD Anderson cancer center.

Dr Shureiqui and his staff are wonderful, would not consider trusting my fathers health to anyone else

This doctor really cares and has your best interest in heart. He is very knowledgeable and answers your questions completely. We felt very at ease with him and received and continue to receive excellent care from him. He is a very religious man, and puts his trust in God's hands. We couldn't of asked for anybody better!
