Dr. Imtiaz Rasul, MD

Avoid at all costs. I’ve been denied treatment over a $175 billing dispute, which has left me without medication that I need. He spends less than 5 minutes with patients and the front desk staff is unprofessional and rude.

This place is a JOKE! I came in on the brink of suicide and was asked what prescription I wanted to be on. Isn't that supposed to be the DOCTOR'S JOB?! Dr. Imtiaz was cold, heartless and could have cared less about what I was going through. When I expressed concern about his decision he immediately became overly defensive and RUDE but was VERY quick about making a follow-up appointment and made sure to tell me how much it would cost. I blame myself for this mistake by not reading the reviews beforehand because now I see I am not the only one. $200 down the drain and left feeling worse than when I came in. This man deserves to have his medical license revoked and will soon have blood on his hands due to his negligence if he continues to "practice". BE WARNED, if you are looking for psychological help ... DO NOT GO HERE! (Would have given ZERO stars but it isn't an option.)

I am the partner of a new patient (who now will no longer be seeing Dr. Rasul) and the way she was being treated by him in the office, which I directly witnessed, as inappropriate. Dr. Rasul has no bedside manner and speaks to patients in a rude and condescending way. He made prejudiced assumptions about my partner (repeatedly asking about substance abusive in a presumptive tone after being told no), he also made various references that "lying won't help her disability case" despite the fact she was not at the appointment in reference to such a case. His treatment of her resulted in her leaving the office feeling even more anxious and depressed, which is what he was supposed to be treating her for. I do not recommend him to anybody, and I reported him to Florida Health's Medical Quality Assurance Department.

Please don’t waste your time seeing Dr. Rasul, he is very impatient and has no bedside manner especially since he is dealing with people who are already suffering with emotional disorders. He did not offer any solutions for my conditions and basically made me feel as if I was suffering. I will not be returning at all.

What can you say about a therapist that you dread seeing and who makes you feel more depressed afterwards? I’m not sure he ever paid attention. He barley spent 15 minutes with me. I did give him the benefit of the dough and had 2 visits. I hate trashing a small business person as I am one myself but I see I’m not the only person who is less than thrilled with his brand of “help”. As I sit here still struggling with my anxiety I reflect on how lost I felt after I had to quit seeing this therapist. I asked directly for tools or help just to hear come back and we will see. I still feel lost and while I believe I will eventually make it out of the woods I cannot in good faith recommend anyone see this man for help. I’m sorry.

A past employee told me Dr. Rasul had his staff go on Zocdoc and post a bunch of fake positive reviews.

You want to stay away from this guy. He's made a lot of enemies and they're taking him to court for his unprofessionalism. One patient had his life ruined by a medication this doctor insisted he take.

This guy is EVIL. Don't waste your time.

I have been seeing Dr. Rasul for many years! He is a great psychiatrist and does a great job explaining any medication he prescribes. When I first saw him I had some serious issues that I needed to work through. He did an excellent job helping me express my problems and listening to my story. He then sent me to a psychologist (the therapist who is actually suppose to help with psychotherapy) while Dr. Rasul managed (and still manages) my medication. I'm in a much better place , mentally, because of the medication I'm taking. I'm happy to say I only need to see my therapist on as needed basis now. Dr. Rasul always shows interest and concern whenever there is a change or problem in my life. He wants to know, so he can help me. This is a great doctor and his English is better than my Hindi any day! One should remember Dr. Rasul is a Psychiatrist, a medical doctor who specializes in treatment with, and management of medication. For psychotherapy one may see a Psycologist.

This man should not be practicing medicine, his staff are like vipers and are in his image. Please don’t see this man. I’m going to inform Naval hospital not to refer patients here. Please don’t let your meds runout because they will let you die before they do an emergency refill. Please stay away from his practice. They will give you a 30 day supply on maintenance meds so you have to go back and deal with this rude, insensitive man and staff. I’ve been in the medical field for 21 years and never experienced anything like it. 0 stars.
