Dr. Ina N Cholst, MD

Dr Cholst is the nastiest of the seven physicians I consulted during my fertility journey. She is arrogant, and lacks compassion. Stay away.

I will never forget the way Ina treated me and my wife. NEVER. We came in to get a second opinion on our ability to become parents. What we got during the first portion of the visit was a eugenics level inquisition about why we want to have a baby. Was it because the difference in age between me and my wife, or the difference in race, or my accent, I would never know. I did not even realize what was happening at the time as never before I have experienced such a condescending treatment. Nevertheless, the visit is still vivid in my memory six years later -- what we received is a serious dose of discouragement and extreme judgement, not care.

This is not a gyn to see if you have other needs. Told me that Pap test is no longer needed post- M "because we now know what causes cervical cancer"! Well, somebody should tell her that the Pap results can indicate other problems besides cervical cancer! Very polite, but not at all helpful with information on older women's concerns. Has patient change into long poncho-type gown for exam-- no side seams at all: kind of a peep show!

Going to a doctor for fertility is never an easy thing. Dr. Cholst and her entire staff made me feel extremely comfortable. The offices are SO nice, especially in comparison to most NYC doctors offices. All the staff are nice, and the whole place runs really well. Dr. Cholst always greeted me with a smile, was extremely informative and offered time for me to ask questions. She took me through the process, explained next steps but never pressured me to go in one direction or another. I would recommend her to anyone!

At the age of 42 & after years of attempting to get pregnant naturally, undergoing numerous unsuccessful IUIâ??s & IVFâ??s at NYU my acupuncturist (yes I enlisted any & all resources)recommended the Drâ??s she used to get pregnant at Center of Reproductive Medicine at Weill Cornell. While he was not taking new patients, I was referred Dr Cholst as an alternative. As it turned out, I think that was the fork in the road that has lead to my successful pregnancy! In meeting Drâ??s Cholst, my husband & I felt she was so kind, empathetic (I had recently had a miscarriage at 6 weeks) & had a genuine interest in helping us get pregnant. Those were feeling we did not have with other Drâ??s we had seen in the past. Dr. Cholst was honest, supportive & much of a maternal figure who answered all of our questions with patience & made an agonizing experience less so. It really does take a village for a pregnancy to result & Drâ??s Cholst was at the heart of that village. I also want to… comment on how professional & pleasant all the staff members were from the receptionists to the nurses. Everyone always had a smile & a welcoming disposition even at 6:30 in the AM! Drâ??s Cholst & her team are so wonderful & I recommend them without hesitation! I only wish I had meet her & them earlier in my journey!

Dr Cholst is very pleasant. She is also very knowledgeable and explains each process thoroughly.

Dr. Cholst is one of the best doctors I've seen in any field. She is smart, skillful, and supportive. Her practice is extremely well run and organized, and she is very generous and thoughtful about responding to patient questions.

Dr. Cholst made one of the most stressful and difficult situations in my life easy, and it led to success!!!

Dr. Cholst and the entire staff at Weill Cornell are wonderful! Dr. Cholst is incredibly knowledgable, talented and professional. After suffering an ectopic pregnancy she performed laparoscopic surgery on me. She is not only a highly skillful surgeon, but was very caring and sensitive throughout the ordeal. Now after one round of IVF, I am currently pregnant with twins. I would highly recommend her!

no one WANTS to go to the dr, but I have to say Dr Cholst and all of the Cornell Weill facility/staff were very impressive. I'll admit, I live in NYC and I have very high expectations for service and have never really felt any dr office is very nice and easy to work with. Dr. Cholst spent a lot of time with me and my husband on every visit. Let us ask a million questions and never once made us feel like we were being rushed out or asking silly questions. She explained everything. When I had to come in between appts to get blood drawn I was literally in and out of the office in 5 mins TOTAL. I was shocked. It's a big professional office, but they have the processes down! I was called with results same day. Honestly I can't can't rave more about the whole set up and Dr. Cholst's sweet, confident, professional, caring demeanor more. I think my husband who works in Medical sales was even more impressed and he literally spends all his days with drs and in hospitals. Wonderful!
