Dr. Indulal Kalidas Rughani, MD

When I arrived I was told a 5 minute wait. Thirty minutes later I was told 5-10 more minutes. Forty minutes later "there are only two people ahead of you" So it was never a five minute wait? I am sick, I can't breathe, I am wearing a mask making it impossible to breath or cough, there are 12+ people in the waiting room for over 90 minutes, no sanitizing, and this is at a lung specialists? No COVID precautions , they don't even wipe the counter in between check-ins. Dr Rughani then told me I had pneumonia and might also have cancer and then refused to answer any of my questions or concerns. He was rude and dismissive and did not care about me as a person. He cut me off every time I tried to ask anything. He just kept saying 10 days of antibiotics then a chest xray then maybe more antibiotics. Twice he said "Do you want it to be cancer?" What kind of question is that? He said keep track of your temperature. What does that mean? Write it down? How high is okay? He is not a nice doctor.… He initially missed the diagnosis because he would not listen to my symptoms, they are not even listed on my report, and the ones that are listed are wrong. He didn't care to listen because he was going to order a CT scan no matter what I said, so my symptoms did not matter. I would not subject my worst enemy to his terrible bedside manner. And the entire office lacks compassion for anyone who might be having a hard day or not feeling well

Even though Dr. Rughani gave me information I didn't want to hear, he did so in a clear, courteous, and thoughtful manner. He described my condition in a way that my children and I could understand, sometimes even drawing diagrams. He listened to me and seem to really hear me.

Dr. Rughani is a caring and brilliant diagnostician, very clear communicator, and everything you would want in a medical professional if you have a serious condition.
