Dr. Inna Blakeman, MD

Dr. Blakeman is conveniently located near my office, which was why I went to her. However, she always seemed like she had no idea what she was doing, and sometimes it felt like she had never seen feet before. Concurrently, she acted like I was stupid to ask any questions of her. I always felt uneasy, as if I wasn't getting the proper care. She would also insist I come back repeatedly for things that I don't believe I should have had to come in so much for. I hadn't seen her for a while, and due to a medical issue, I had gained some weight. My doctors were well aware of this and why it happened, and how it was to be regarded and handled. When I went back to Dr. Blakeman for a foot issue, she stared at me from the get go as if I was shocking to look at. She spoke to me like she was in shock. I did not gain hundreds of pounds, I gained an expected amount for what I had experienced medically. She asked me why I gained the weight (wow), and suggested I join a weight loss study with a… hospital! I told her the reasons for the weight gain (again, not her business), and that my doctors were aware, and we were all in agreement about the why/how/when/what to do part. She still kept pushing at me about losing it. I couldn't believe it. After the appointment ended, I felt like I'd been punched in the face. Once she was given the explanation (which again, was none of her business), she should have dropped it. I never went back. I still remember where I went after this as I was so upset and shocked by how she behaved towards me. Seeing so many good reviews makes me wonder if she judges on looks or weight, as I'm a large framed person to begin with, so my normal perhaps is her fat. Which would have made my larger self a giant to her.

Dr. Blakeman is terrific. She's very knowledgeable and explains everything clearly, My experience with her has been successful, and nothing short of excellent. In addition, she is a kind and lovely lady.
