Dr. Insung Kim, MD

This doctor lacks reason, logic, compassion, patience or humanity. She is a monster of a person and her character brings St. Francis as a whole into question.

This is the review i wrote on dr kim I brought my mother in for post op biopsy and was told by dr Kim that she couldnt get the biopsy results because it was done at hillcrest and she was not a hillcrest doctor. She was initially seen for TIAs and was confused but despite all this it was put on my mom to get the results for her. I was so upset i changed her doctor immediately. As a result she has stage 3 lung cancer and im not sure we would have ever gotten the results. (Since she is not a Hillcrest doctor). Give me a break. We also told her that we needed home healthcare and wanted Interim as we are familiar with them. The next day St Francis home health called and she had completely ignored what we talked about and tried to steer her business to St Francis. We no longer ever want to do business with Dr Kim and its debatable about St Francis health care in general if this is how they work. It was horrible. Oh and another thing when we came in she had no idea who my mother was even… though she has chronic conditions and has had to go there on a consistant basis

Really sad they do not know how to answer the phone. Then you tell the girls at the desk. What you need and they mess that all up. I told the girl I just need 3 to 6 months of my medicine so I just get 1. I cannot get these people to listen. Dr. Kim seems like a good doctor but I cannot tell if it is her or the group upfront that answers the phone. Really I do not know why they are allowed there phonesup at the front desk. They usually are playing games or talking on them. Not a professional one in the group just lazy. Shoot even Dr. Kim tells you she will get a prescription for you wrote out and printed. She then forgets to give one to you. Not Organized at all. Not able to multitask. She is a sweet lady but not professional. Sad

She is very rude and does not listen to what the problem is and forgets to give you prescriptions that are typed and signed by her to get a filled. If it is something new. I took care of my I’ll mother through her. She did not care if mother lived or died. Cannot read a chart. Mitchell

I dont think Dr. Kim should be allowed to practice especially on the elderly. If I could put zero instead of 1 star I would of. She is very rude.

She is up to date on meds. Nice patient interaction. Very competent doctor.

As a family we came to Dr Kim to discuss both my dad, she sat through the appointment and did nothing proactive to help him...no suggestlons and no solutions, she placated us by meeting with us, left the room and never returned. My mom still goes to her because shes afraid to change doctors. Dr Kims solution for everything is another prescription...we have to check the bottles each month to stay on top of the newly prescribed medications. Twice my mom ended up in the ER with reactions to combinations of medications. If I could get my mom away from her I would, she is a disgrace to the medical profession and should be ashamed.

Now i know some people may not get her, but I think he rbluntness is wha this needed in this field. My father-in-law was a patient of hers. She lways mad ehim laugh and feel like he knew what was going on. she did the best she could but he was dying. Now he was put in hospices care in his final months and after he passed we recieved a card from her and her office. Yes it takes a while to get in but most doctors do these days. This is also why we have urgent cares. should you be at here office with the flu? most patients are very sick and do not need that extra push. I myself have become more than my Doctor can bare and are hoping to go to her soon.

I have always gotten the impression that Dr Kim is always in a hurry with her patients. This practitioner seems like she does not want to get to the bottom of the issued and just prescribes more and more medicines like the patient is an experiment. After going to her for some time, I have decided to make a change and find another practitioner. Never in my entired life I have changed doctors for any reason and I am 68 years old. Maybe todays medicine is who can see the most patients in an 8 hr shift, $$$$$$$ unfortunately. Have caught her on to many mistakes !
