Dr. Ioannis J Helidonas

I would not even rate with one star but it needs to be there so he can be rated. I had just finished with a different dentist that I liked and was going away when I went to Dr Helidonas. Dr Helidonas wanted to give me three caps because I had decay under each according to him( over $4,000 of work ). I went to another dentist after he ticked me off and the new dentist could not find any decay - he said he just wanted to sell me caps. I tried to report him but the paperwork to do so was extensive. He is a crook!

Contracted for a replacement denture. I had to visit 5 times to try to fit them. Bottom line is I could not speak properly and I could not eat anything with this denture. The teeth were huge and looked hedious. I was forced to pay for them but left them there and will pursue legal action to get my $599 back

Dr did not warn me that last visit was an additional visit and would cost an additional $600. Maybe an OK dentist but as a human he fails in my book!!

As a dentist I suppose he is OK. BUT..... as a human he rates a little money hungry. He and his nurse outlined what was going to happen, five visits I believe. I commented on the high price considering I had been quoted a much lower price when making the appointment. Dr stated that the last visit would only be necessary if there was still a problem at that point. During each visit Dr made small adjustments, after each visit he said, "come back in two weeks." Everything was fine by the third visit yet he requested I return! On the last visit no extra work was required, he left the room, I heard the Dremel tool start and run for maybe 5-7 seconds after which he re-appeared, gave me my dentures and I left. That last visit was the visit that WAS NOT needed....but it cost me $700. Dr did not warn me that it was the fifth appointment and would cost $700 over & above the quoted amount. Maybe he had a boat payment, I don't know?

Dr! I was looking at my invoice from CareCredit and realized that you charged me for the extra visit which you said in the beginning "MIGHT" be needed. Your prices are certainly higher than surrounding dentists BUT you did not tell me that the last visit was going to cost another $500! It might have been legal but it certainly wasn't morally correct to not warn me about the cost of that last visit. You asked me to come back, I didn't ask to be seen again!! I can only assume that you are one of those Dr's who is more interested in making money and less interested in your patients care. Steven Schick
