Dr. Montiero was very calm and composed with us. She looked into my daughter’s history and prescribed something that helped us tremendously. It’s all about the energy and she was very positive and humanly.

Staff in the office are very rude and lack empathy. Nobody enjoy the fact that their young one have to be suffering health issue than having to due with rude staff is so condescending. Staffing needs to be changed!

First I would like to say thanks to Dr. Iona Monteiro, she is a very best doctor there is no any doubt.I been since last 5 years for my elder son. I don’t have any word to explain about her, my son has been seen 5 times since last 4 years I mean 2013 to 2016. He always remembers her name although he is very little at that time. Today I have an appointment for my 4-month little baby girl. I got that appointment after 2 and a half month. She has gas problems and her patrician referral her to gastroenterology and I choose dr Montero and got after 80 days appointment. When I book an appointment the lady didn’t ask anything except baby name and date of birth. Today I hardly reach about 9 am morning because of traffic and parking. When I reached and asked to the front desk about my baby appointment time, she gives me regular form and she asks baby insurance. I give the card she told me they aren’t accepting Aetna better health. When I check online I saw only Aetna I thought both are… same. So she rechecked my appointment. It is not their responsibility ask and make sure the patient insurance? Why they didn’t ask when they call me yesterday about the appointment time. I know for them that behave is daily basis but I lose my 2 and a half month and I don’t have any word to my little baby she can forgive me or not. Again I have to wait more two months for other doctor appointments. why they are not responsible for patient health? How many babies struggle to survive their nonsense behaviors’. I don’t have to say anything to the doctor but such kind of behaviors and service definitely correlated to doctor profession and patient perception over the doctor. Doctor you are awesome there is no any doubt but you need to figure out such kind of unacceptable behaviors’ of your team.

Answered All my question and she was very sweet to my toddler

I was calling to make An appointment for my daughter when Janeece the receptionist took my call. She was very rude. As I tried spelling my daughters name to her she yelled into the phone "I cant understand you, you have too much of a heavy accent." Customer service was disappointing.

My son was 4 years old at the time of his visit and is Autistic. Quite a few autistic children were in the waiting room, so I thought she might be helpful to us. She diagnosed my sons bowel problem as too much yeast and put him on controversial meds. Consequently, he developed severe diarrhea and lost 11 pounds and I was afraid hed have to be admitted to the hospital for all his misery and rapid weight loss. Numerous times I called to speak with her about his problem and she was too busy, away and her staff could care less about our problem. So, I called my sons Pediatrician and She and her colleague recommended that I stop all the meds that she prescribed, since they questioned her treatment plan for my son. She prescribed oral thrush medication (meds for yeast of the mouth) to treat his so called bowel yeast. This is not medically appropriate. Her treatment plan did nothing for my sons stomach condition, and he was in pure misery! When I requested copies of labs she ordered that she… claims came back positive for yeast (so that other doctors could review it), her staff gave me the run around and no one returned my calls or sent the labs. I found out from a fellow autistic childs mother at my sons Speech Therapy Clinic that this doctor did the same thing to her son. She went to an Allergist to find out more about the bowel yeast, and the Allergist arrived at totally different conclusions. Mind you, this is at the same hospital! We never went back to her. Eventually, my sons stomach condition improved on more conservative and better monitored care. Shop around folks, especially if your child is autistic with stomach problems. Also, the staff if very unhelpful.

The office wanted my sick 6 week old to wait a month for an appointment. What kind of pediatrician wants a baby who can't eat & needs to see a gastroentologist to wait a month?!? It is painful for him to eat that is just plain stupid. Not the type of Dr or office I want to work with!!! I want one that cares about kids!
