He does not listen to me. He is dismissive.

When I arrived at Dr. Chan's office in Milton Hospital, the office door was locked without any mention of staff returning from a break or any other explanation. When I called the office line, I was told by the answering service that the office was closed as of 6:52am today without any explanation. No one had bothered to call that day's patients to alert them of this abrupt closing. I understand that, sometimes, there are emergencies, but I do expect that office staff -- under his direction -- would alert in a prompt manner all patients with appointments that day about the closure and confirm rescheduling of appointments. I was told by the man staffing the answering service that I was not the only irate patient with an appointment calling with complaints. Find yourself a new doctor who actually shows up to appointments and responds to patients' requests!!!!!

When he shows up to my scheduled appointments, he's a decent doctor. But he has abruptly closed his office without alerting that day's patients of the decision to close the office without rescheduling appointments. Rude! To make time in my day and take a personal day from work for an appointment that was canceled without notice or reason is unacceptable and unprofessional. I will be finding a new obgyn - one who shows up for his patients!

The wait time can be long and not communicated. The Doctor is wonderful and so professional.

Ira Chan is the nicest doctor i ever met. He is friendly and his appointments are always on time. He give you alot of good advice explains everything really well. He is the best doctor I've known!!
