Dr. Irene Blanco, MD

She is by far the best rheumatologist I have ever seen. She is kind, thoughtful, and truly cares about her patients. She takes as much time as she needs to understand her patients and carefully reviews bloodwork, looking at the whole picture, rather than one singular result WHICH IS WHAT A GOOD DOCTOR DOES. Too many look at one value without taking in the whole picture or do not consider what are normal or abnormal total labs/fluctuations. She values the entire person and is a fantastic doctor. As someone with co-morbidities and ambiguous symptoms, she has worked with me to address my issues over the years. I think some people think that doctors can waive a magic wand and immediately cure all your ailments. That’s not the way the body works. Some things take time. It takes time to diagnose. It takes time to treat. It takes time to see results from new medications and how your body handles triggers and flares. She’s been an incredible doctor who takes the time to treat the whole patient… and who actively responds to messages when you have questions or concerns.
