Dr. Irene Jong, MD

During my exam, I told Dr. Yong that I am also seeing a specialist at the same practice as hers. She told me that I "should go see someone else" and stop seeing that doctor because the doctor "is not very good." She then gave me the name of another doctor she wanted to refer me to. I was very surprised because I have been very satisfied with the other doctor and told her so. She seemed very annoyed and said "well fine then if YOU think you know what is best!" I thought the conversation was very inappropriate and it made me uncomfortable.

Doctor was inattentive and impatient during my appointment with her. I asked her a basic question about the medication she was prescribing, because as I was trying to explain to her, I had had an allergic reaction to another medication for the same condition prescribed by my previous doctor under my former health care plan. She cut me off and essentially told me to just take it and she didn't have time to discuss further because she had another patient waiting. Told me I could call later to discuss my concerns with a physician's assistant. Really unprofessional demeanor.

Doctor seemed very unfocused during my visit and kept running out to check on another matter with her staff, then returned to ask the same questions she had just been asking. I asked her what was wrong and she snapped at me that there was an office matter she had to attend to and "it was none of my business." Then rushed through my exam and said nothing was wrong. Another doctor I went to the next day confirmed I had an eye infection that she has said was just a temporary irritation. Well my exam that she was neglecting was certainly my business.

Doctor seemed very disorganized. She stepped out of the office twice to yell her at her staff, once for bringing the wrong file. When she came back in she had forgotten everything I had been explaining a few minutes earlier. Very cold and unfriendly too. Doesn't seem to like to let you finish a sentence before butting in. An uncomfortable, unfocused experience for me as the patient.

Doctor was very impatient and rushed during my appointment. I tried to explain about some leg pain I was having and she kept cutting me off, not letting me finish. It was very rude and annoying. Didn't seem to know how to diagnose my problem. Her staff was also difficult later and billed the insurance company for two visits, when in fact I had only made an appointment with her once and only visited her once. When I complained, they said the double billing occurred because I had previously cancelled an appointment, when in fact that never happened. She and her staff seem more interested in cramming in as many patients to the schedule as possible rather than actually spending adequate quality time to properly treat them.
