I needed to choose a PCP and chose Dr. Lin based on her credentials and availability for my annual physical. She has a cheerful bedside manner, but a bit rushed. Following my exam, I had routine blood tests performed. Some test results came back abnormal. I was concerned and emailed her asking for clarification. She did not answer my email. I emailed again. Still no answer. Shocked at her lack of follow-up, particularly at test results. Unfortunately, I am stuck with her as my PCP until I can switch through my insurance next year.

She is not my doctor, but I had to see someone before my bullseye rash completely faded away and my doctor was on vacation for a week and a half. She didn't know much about my Lyme disease and didn't ask me any questions about the characteristics of my rash, my symptoms or if I was out in the woods. When I tried to tell her, she just nodded her head in a sarcastic, scoffing manner, like "yeah right", and told me patients come in with rashes thinking they have Lymes. She wouldn't give anti-biotics without a blood test, even though the bullseye rash (EM) is sufficient for a diagnosis while a blood test is not, and in fact, has upto a 60% rate of false negatives. Her lack of knowledge and thoroughness, unwillingness to listen and general scoffing attitude left me feeling helpless and angry. Now I have to find another doctor (and pay out of pocket for I have no insurance) who listens to and respects patients.
