RWJ practice is no longer readily supporting telemedicine. This is what all our other doctors are doing (primary care, allergist, adult internist, etc.) where the patient wants to reduce risk. Even more important when your child has diabetes to not unnecessarily expose them - unless they need to be examined. Our child’s diabetes is stable with good blood sugars – no reason we could not telemedicine for regular check-ups. We’re seeking another doctor office now that more readily supports telemedicine during the pandemic. Probably the doctors wanting to make more $$$. Disappointing.

Dr Mamkin is such a fantastic, knowledgeable, and kind person she always makes sound recommendations for my son. We are so thankful to have her.

Dr Mamkin took a generous amount to time with my daughter to fully understand her health issues. I’d highly recommend her!

erudite and pragmatic

Dr. Mamkin is excellent, usually I don't write reviews but she was beyond my expectations and I am hoping I can help someone else. Dr. Mamkin is very patient, she explained everything to me, and she answered every one of my questions. She takes her time with the patient and specially to hear your concerns, she was accurate with her diagnosis and she is not an aggressive Dr. treatment wise, and I love this because I don't want to give to my daughter unnecessary medication. She shows me so much compassion and empathy I almost felt I was with a friend, not with a Dr. I took my daughter to Dr. Mamkin because she is having precocious puberty.

My daughter is 4 years old and was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. She is under Dr Mamkin's care, and it was one of the best decisions I've made. Dr Mamkin is very warm and caring, she even gave me her cell phone number during an emergency. How many doctors do that. I am greatful for the care she provides.
