Dr. Irene A Semenov, DO

I did EMG test with different doctors before visiting Dr. Semenov. I never had a problem with the test. During the test it was a swelling in my arm and a big black spot started growing around the needle. Within the period of a week the swelling went down but a few black spots were still enlarging on the skin of my arm. To my opinion, Dr. Semenov is unprofessional to perform such tests.

Dr. Semenov is a superb neurologist. I went to her after I had headaches unlike any I've ever had, that sent me to ER. They tested me for aneurysms. Dr. Semenov diagnosed me with "thunderclap" headaches. She sent me for an MRA. She answered all my questions in a way I understood. She is very kind. When I messaged her thru NS Connect, she called me to answer my questions. Rarely does a doctor do that. I recommend her highly.

When I went to Dr. Semenov I averaged 28 days of chronic migraine headaches/month that were 8-10 on the pain scale. Now I average 2-3 days/month that are 4-6. She had to fight the insurance company and appeal to the state to get me the treatment that I needed. My son had recommended her. He had severe positional headaches and had been to seven different neurologists to no avail. Now he's back to work and doing fine.

Dr Semenoff diagnosed and resolved my son's chronic migrainous vertigo. We had tried to get help for years! She reduced his incidents of migraine headaches. She listens, is responsive and compassionate. We would highly recommend her!

I've seen many doctors trying to fix my pain. I found Dr Semenov to stand above the rest. Great listener, good person. Only seen her twice but I feel to be going in the right direction.

Listens. Doesn't rush you. Takes into consideration your existing concerns and issues. Quickly assesses. Overall a great and helpful experience.

Dr. Semenov is well versed in her specialty and . But don't have a problem outside of office hours. She is very slow to respond and doesn't respond directly, only through her staff who couldn't offer any help and was very defensive. There are many other neurologists who are both very capable AND respond to their patients in a timely and professional manner.
