Dr. Irma Yolanda Castro, MD

I've been her patient for many years. I'm looking for a new provider. I realize I see her only when it's a physical or routine visit. Took me many years to find medication that works. I don't tell her much because she doesn't listen and shuts communication down. She focuses on weight mostly. Then belittles you and dismisses how I feel. I don't recommend her for your Dr. I don't recommend her for my own it's time for me to leave. I walk out of her office depressed every time. She's rude,dismissive, and an abusive person. This is why she sees us lower income people. Horrible. She needs to find Jesus I'll pray for her

She may have went to school but she doesn’t deserve to be referred to as a doctor. Her staff also. Castro is rude, unreliable, disrespectful, straight up a disgrace. No one answers the phone or calls you back. Wait time is 2 and a half hours just to spend 5 minutes with her that she doesn’t even listen to your concerns. She acts like just because she earned a degree she’s entitled to belittle you. I could go on but I feel I already wasted my time with this review but I feel she deserves no stars and a big thumbs down with a warning label.

She cares and gives us advice to better our health. It is up to us to follow her doctor recommended treatments to stay or better our health. She does 50% and we have to do the other 50%. I have been with Dr. Castro for over ten years. She has always been concerned and careful with my health care. There is nothing that i can not discuss with her that does not get handled. She is open and listens to your concerns. As all dr's have a heavy patient load, it would benefit the patient to know and be aware of their health concerns. knowledge is power, and you are your own best advocate. Don't expect any physician to hold your hand. Be able to converse, and know what problems need to be addressed. Your physician is your segway to better health. You have to put time and effort into yourself as well. Im very grateful for what she's done for me. Thank You. Helen Brown

All Dr. Castro is good at is referring you to someone else. Then that takes forever.

Very mean and Gossip about her patient

My first visit waited over a hour. She was rude and rolled her eyes to all my concerns and the symptoms I was feeling. I feel sorry for her staff wouldn't want to work for a person like that.

My nephew, who was involved in a serious motorcycle accident, had his first appointment with Dr. Castro. We were both very happy with the visit. Her staff were kind and professional. Dr. Castro spent a great deal of time with my nephew going over his history and current situation. The goal was set to work together in getting him back to how he was before the accident. Very pleased with Dr Castro and her staff.

She doesn't care about patients just money and wants to give prescriptions for everything.
