Dr. Irving William Harper III, MD

Dr. Harper is caring, considerate and takes time to treat his patients. I have been his patient for years and I appreciate all he does for his community.

This doctor simply put has terrible bedside manners, lacks professional ability to engage with patients. He doesn't seem to care to offer actual assistance or any opinions with compassion and understanding to people's feelings. Nor will he bother trying to listen, he likely has judged you even before he has met and talked to you. If you want good proper care I don't recommend this doctor. One of his other reviews is also talking sexual assault and is very concerning. I suspect this doctor lacks empathy, so be cautious with him.

Dr. Irving Harper III sexually assaulted me during a physical exam at my second appointment with him ever. Our first appointment he said: "If I was single, we'd be dating!" I should have seen this as the red flag that it was, because at the second appointment he rubbed his erection all over my body. I reported the incident, & I don't know if any action was taken. I am posting this as a warning to others. I know I'm probably not the only one he did this to. Stay safe!

First of all, I would like to express how deeply disappointed I was with the staff and their huge lack of respect towards the doctor-patient privacy act. Unfortunately, all of my very personal health records and information were shared with others and also pharmacists in an inaccurate form. I went to four different pharmacy's before being told that someone had called in acting like a relative of Dr. Harper and saying very foul things about me. Also stating risky behaviors and negative things that would happen if I was given the medication I NEED and having this person take it upon themselves to seek joy out of my pain and discomfort. It came down to the point of the pharmacists refusing to release my medication to me at all, because of the odd and numerous phone calls received. I came to find out later that staff members have their work schedules, including names on their phones. Later when calling the office with questions the woman "kaley" (or something close to that name), had… replied with answers as if she knew who I was without stating my name. I then asked, "do you know who this?" She replied saying yes I can tell its ..... by the sound of your voice. Well to me that is down right wrong to guess and say a name to someone that might not even be that person. Not very private! Not only friends found out about my doctor visit, but also family members! Come to find out one of the staff members and I are close with one person in common. Of course this person doesn't care for me and did whatever it took for me to not receive the care I do deserve. Dr. Harper himself was a very educated, kind doctor who took the time to look at my injuries and gave me proper direction on how to remedy them. He was actually amazed that I was able to walk in and struggle through the day with the amount of pain I was in and currently am in. I really wish Dr. Harper realized or took notice as to what his staff members are really doing so he could make things right! I cannot express my frustration and disappointment with the overall experience of seeing Dr. Harper. Very unprofessional, unfriendly, lack of any bedside manner and difficult to make appointments. Dr. Harper, please seek new staff members!

Dr. Harper and his staff is wonderful and make you feel very safe and taken care of . However with one of his employees (Not Kathryn) does not know what ALOHA IS she never says hello or how are you welcome. You can feel her very negitive vibe. This person has made me feel very uncomfortable while I wait for the Doctor. I hope this helps imporve the over all envirorment of this wonderful place that people come to for help, and advice from a very excellent Dr. Thank you for taking the time to read this information.

Kinda a far drive but worth the it. You will not find another Doctor on like him on Island. He is well spoken, explains things and makes sure you understand. !
