Dr. Irving Leslie Humphrey, MD

We have seen other therapists, and Dr. Humphrey is the best. He is patient and compassionate, does not judge parents or children (he saw us for marriage counseling, but has also treated other members of our family over the years). My son was/is difficult to treat, and Dr. Humphrey hung in there with him and gave the time needed for him to finally open up. It took a very long time, and a therapist cannot force a child to open up. Our child is a different person, so much happier and freer. Dr. Humphrey is extremely insightful and intelligent, but approaches patients in an unassuming, playful way; he is not intimidating. In marriage counseling, he was even able to help my husband, someone who does not open up easily.

I have seen Dr. Humphrey for 4 years. He has helped me work through a very difficult time in my life and helped me develop a greater understanding of myself.Prior I had seen a number of psychiatrists in the DFW area, but I have found him to be the most helpful. I began with psychotherapy and now I am in psychoanalysis. He is flexible in his scheduling.His rates are very reasonable. He listens patiently without judgement. He has extensive education, which really impressed me as well.He has a great sense of humor and is kind. He is NOT interested in just giving your a medication prescription and sending you on your way. He really wants to help you breakthrough you problems so you can be a more confident and happier person.If you are dedicated to working hard on bettering yourself then you just can't find a better doctor
