Dr. Isaac Franklin Brownell, MD

I came to MSKCC as an international patient, after a melanoma was diagnosed on my back and removed at a big clinical centre in my home town Zagreb, Croatia. An opportunity to see a top dermatologist arose and I went on to see dr Brownell at the Dermatology dept. in New York. The staff at MSKCC was so professional and courteous, and I mean everyone from the guys at security to the doc himself. He really took his time doing the exam, told me to remove three more moles and gave me the option of doing it there or when I return home. I chose the latter, because I had to return home and wouldn't be able to receive the phd diagnosis in person. One of the moles dr Brownell told me to have removed was a melanoma in its starting phase. No one at my country told me to remove it and I want to thank him from the bottom of my heart for being a great doctor! I hope to make that yearly check up a routine and I certainly wish to have dr Brownell as my doctor.Once again, I would like to thank all the… people I've met at MSKCC who made this scary and ugly diagnosis fly right out the window!
