Dr Isaac K Yeboah, MD

As an oncologist/hematologist, Dr. Isaac Yeboah specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancers and blood diseases such as leukemia, hemophilia and lymphoma.
While completing an oncology internship in his native Ghana, he knew that oncology/hematology would be his specialty.
"Different aspects of medicine come into play. Not just the physical healing and treatment, but also the psychological aspects. You must find a way to get people's spirits up. This jelled with me from the beginning," Dr. Yeboah said.
He believes in the far-reaching impact that oncology research plays in patient outcomes.
"I don't think there is any other field where research is more integral to patient care than this specialty, to be a part of a new way of doing things that may impact people's lives. Research is the only way to achieve excellence," Dr. Yeboah said.
Dr. Yeboah completed medical residencies at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he was also chief resident, and a …fellowship in hematology/oncology at Rutgers University – Cancer Institute of New Jersey. He plans to continue his research activities at Marshfield Clinic Research Institute.
"I am very excited about collaborating with other physicians here on clinical research," Dr. Yeboah said. "I am very passionate about ensuring all the best treatment options are available to my patients including enrollment in clinical trials, with the ultimate goal of giving my patients the best chance towards overcoming their disease. Having the opportunity to play this amazing role in my patient's lives is what keeps me going."
