Dr. Bender sees my son Zane. She recently diagnosed him with a rare disorder called Food Protein-Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome (FPIES). After hearing horror stories from other parents about how their kids usually get misdiagnosed for a long time by other pediatricians, we are so grateful Dr. Bender identified this disorder for our son right away / early on, and as a result saved us a lot of struggle and heartache. Now we are starting to manage this disorder early on, all thanks to her accurate diagnosis. We had no idea this disorder is what he had and were very confused. In addition, she's been all around an amazing doctor for our son Zane. Very grateful!

I switched from a recommended doctor in the Beaumont system practicing in Novi to Dr. Bender after researching her credentials. I did not know what to expect in terms of bedside manner, and was more than happy with her. She takes her time, is thoughtful and explains things well to kids. She is thorough and kind. After talking for probably 10 minutes with my daughter directly -- engaging her, asking her questions -- my daughter asked "when will the doctor get here?" She had never experienced a doctor that is in the room for more than 45 seconds and never had a doctor talk to her directly. I highly recommend Dr. Bender!
