Dr. Ismary Ojeda De Castro, MD

This was my 2nd appointment. Arrived 10 minutes early for appointment. Called back 15 minutes after appointment time by nurse, so she could check vitals and send me back to the waiting room. I asked how behind they were, was told there was still 3 ahead of me. Pulse oximeter didn't work, nurse tried to put blood pressure cuff together multiple times, finally tried checking bp and the cuff hissed the whole time, but she insisted reading was correct. I asked if I could go back up front to get me copay refunded and leave, she said sure. Told receptionist what happened, she said she needed ok from manager, asked if I could speak to her also, she said yes, but she's on the phone. Waited, manager came up handed me refund receipt and turned around and walked off. No concern for what happened.

The staff was polite and the office was clean. Dr. Decastro was very knowledgeable of my condition and answered the questions that I had. She's a great Endocrinologist and I would recommend her to anyone.

I loved Dr. DeCastro but if I had a problem in between visits and had to call the office I had to deal with someone named Cheryl. I have no idea what her title is but she was so difficult to deal with that I quit going to Dr. DeCastro. It was not worth the hassle at all. Cheryl wouldn't even give me an appointment with the nurse practioner when I had problems in between visits.
