Dr. Israel Berger, MD

All I can say is Dr Berger saved my life, As soon as he saw my xray he said we have to operate now. He made arrangements with the hospital and was admitted next day he removed my right kidney and told me the tumor was larger than my kidney. I owe my life to DR Berger.

Most unprofessional office staff I have EVER encountered. Talked openly about patients and their conditions. Cancelled 2 previous appointments without notice. Wasn't notified that doc had been called into surgery on my appt day and waited 2+ hours before finally leaving. They need better scheduling and follow-up with patients. Very unprofessional to leave people waiting that long. Stay away!

Had a 3:20 appointment, got to the Wheeling office at 2, and all patients were told the doctor was running THREE HOURS behind schedule. They then lied to many angry patients by saying they called everyone on the schedule for the day - something I was able to quickly disprove. They also lied to me about the option to sedate me (which I was given when I made the appointment), and I wasn't even given the pill to relax me that I was supposed to get! The office staff is incredibly rude and condescending. I finally had my procedure done over three hours after it was supposed to be completed. The doctor himself is competent; can't say the same about his support staff.

It's been more than 2 hour wait -and staff is rude. Would not recommend

appt. time was 3 pm....we were not called til 6

Good Luck trying to get a Med re-fil, the answering serves is a JOKE!!!

Dr. Berger was very unprofessional and broke HIPPA and discussed my health information at the front desk and patients overheard my medical issues. He also prescribed medications and did not explain to me why I would be needing them. He also performed a test without explaining why I needed it and did not even bother to explain the results. I give him no stars.

I'm very pleased with the doctor. He explains everything well. His staff though is very rude. The reception staff in particular. I've been to the Skokie location but I go to Hoffman Estates most of the time. I think they are worse there. I work at the healthcare field myself and our patient's are surely NOT treated like that. The wait time is insane. I've spent 4-5 hours for an appointment.

He is a horrible doctor had an appointment at 6:30 he didn't see me until 8:30. Then he gave me medication didn't bother to explain what they were for. The staff there are by far the rudest nastiest attitude people I've ever met! Please DO NOT go here and waste your time . Gave him 1 star only because this site requires atleast 1 star ! Zero on everything !

He is super concerned about his patients and seems to put his patient's interest above his own. He is an outstanding doctor and I would recommend him to anyone I come across.
