Dr. Ivan Orlando Rosas, MD

Dr Rosas is a complicated figure. He's charming, engaged, and incredibly intelligent. He's also overextended, sloppy, and unable to look beyond the Harvard pool in which he is located. He prides himself on the "data-driven model" of medicine practiced at BWH. I think he wants to do the best possible for his patients, but he doesn't have the time to think through the data he is reviewing. He can make costly mistakes. There are other pulmonologists in that practice. It might save your life to select one of them over Dr. Rosas.

I came to Dr. Rosas after being mis-diagnosed by other Primary Physicians and Pulmonologists. I was happy to receive answers, diagnosis and treatment that made sense. Dr. Rosas and his team are extremely knowledgeable, patient and kind. They made sure that I understood my illness and treatment. My questions are always answered. I always felt as though they had my best interests at heart and I never felt like I was rushed. I would highly recommend Dr. Rosas and his team without hesitation.

This doctor is part of a pathetic pulmonary team. From there insensitive bedside manner to there inept treatment of lung diseases. While at Brigham and Womens Hospital I saw staff allow flowers in the pulmonary ICU as well as allowing anybody to come and go as they pleased(with or without masks). I only bring that up because during my month stay about 90% of the patients died in the pulmonary ICU due to infection. My family was given false hope of a lung transplant only to find out the lung delivered had pneumonia. Why bother giving people hope if your not 100% the donor had healthy lungs Dr Rosa's? I had the pleasure of witnessing one of your esteemed colleagues hand deliver my mother a letter indicating my father was no longer on the transplant list while my father was still alive struggling to fight an infection that the pulmonary team couldn't figure out. Well my dad died at 63 and we never heard a word from Dr Rosa's or his "top notch" pulmonary team. Thanks Dr Rosa's for… not only being a crummy doctor but also crummy person.
