Ivana Marie Tur, APRN

Mrs. Ivana Tur is a talented Advanced Practice Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatrics. She is board certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. Mrs. Tur is cross-trained in Pediatrics as well as Pediatric Intensive Care. She also has extensive experience working in the Pediatric Medical-Surgical Unit. Mrs. Tur loves working with children because they inspire her. She admires their resilience no matter what difficult challenges they may face.

Mrs. Tur earned her Associate in Arts degree and Associate in Nursing degree from Hillsborough Community College in Plant City, Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Pediatric Primary Care Nurse from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Mrs. Tur cares for patients at the Grasslands Campus.

I have been a registered nurse for over 7 years.

Describe your clinical specialties.
During my first two years as a …registered nurse, I worked in postoperative cardiovascular surgery and stroke unit. In 2018, I started pediatric nursing. I went on further and cross-trained in the pediatric intensive care unit. I loved pediatrics so much that I decided to go back to school for my nurse practitioner degree and specialize in pediatrics!

What is your patient care philosophy?
I treat every patient like they are family or friends.

What would you like people to know about you as a provider?
I am dedicated to giving patients and their families quality care. After working in the pediatrics intensive care unit, I have seen how sick children can be and my goal is to keep them be and stay healthy. I want the best for my patients, and I treat them like my own family members.

What do you enjoy most about working with patients?
I love working with children because they inspire me. It always amazes me how resilient they are no matter how sick they get.

How does your work improve lives?
In pediatric primary care, I have the opportunity to keep children healthy and avoid chronic conditions.

What are some interesting facts about you?
I have been married to my husband for 5 years. We met at Durant High School in Plant City. One of our first dates was to the strawberry festival! It's become a tradition for us to go at least once every year. I love exploring new cities and attending concerts. My favorite singer is Taylor Swift!

With which community and volunteer organizations are you involved?
Our family attends Arise Church in Brandon. We volunteer in the 4-5 year old Sunday school class.

Would you like to share about your family?
I married my high school sweetheart. We have been married for five years but together for 13 years. We also have a cockapoo named Honey; we both love her so much!
