Extraordinary. Stepped up and assisted where no other specialist would render assistance. Demonstrated extraordinary concern, but also competence in rendering care. Young patient would not have survived without her assistance. Reading some of the critique among these reviews, I am struck as a physician by not only how inappropriate, but how profound the lack of insight demonstrated. Both regarding our role as Physicians, and also our capacity to address extreme physiologic states that still inevitably lead to death. While there are certain individuals trained to the point of the extreme competency that I witnessed working with Dr Daly, at the same time many things are still beyond us as Physicians. It is particularly striking that the one detailed comment in fact doesn't even address Dr Daly's work directly; in other words, it is an inference by a person who says that they were not able to reach Dr Daly and/or her colleagues.. The only thing that I can state as a physician is… that's what I witnessed was that if there is a way to help a patient, Doctor Daly is not only capable of doing the job, but will also do it if at all possible. All I can say is that as a highly trained physician myself with 24 years of experience, who has also worked with literally thousands of Specialists, I would entrust Dr. Daly with my life. I can't think of a higher compliment than that from a fellow physician.

Dr. Daly saved our daughters life! We are forever grateful for her skill and compassion. Awesome Doctor with a great team of highly trained professionals.

I was told very specifically that my mother was going to improve. I found the experience at UPMC very clinical and impersonal. My mother went from critical care to Pallative care and now she is gone. I have made numerous calls to speak with Dr Daly and others and no success. Please do not trust your loved ones to this "teaching hospital" That has so many people working in it it reminds me of a circus. I am trying to survive the stress of what this experience has put me through, As soon as my mother entered the hospital, since she was 87 and had stayed in a nursing home, she got "tagged" as having dementia and I felt the staff gave her a "thumbs down." No, my mother was fully mentally Capable. Then, when she was downgraded to palliative care, a doctor in training announced in front of my mother and my daughter who was sitting with me, "Oh, this patitient is in the active process of dying." Need I say more?

Very rude and thinks she knows it all. I had an encounter in 2001 with her and it was the worse of my life,she did not take time toi listen to my symptoms and make a conclusion out of papers., I went to another doctor and said I did not need the surgery that she wanted tio do on me

I had Dr. Daly For My Transplant Dr back in New Orleans Back In 2002 And I've ever Blessed her for being there for me.You are truly in good hands.Over all rating, the SKY would be the Level in my book.

Dr. Daly was the head surgeon of the ICU Trauma team that cared for my 93 year old father when he fell and put broken ribs through his kidney. She was extremely patient, thorough, and careful and did everything to avoid major surgery. Her caring and compassion were equal to her intelligence and skill.
