Dr. Ivor Benjamin, MD

Dr. Ivor Benjamin seemed nice at first, but then it became increasingly apparent that his soul purpose was to get as much money from insurance companies as possible. One appointment he was so unprofessional he came to tell my mom she had cancer growing again and he was just muching on food like it wasn't a sad serious situation. My mother fought Ovarian Cancer 4 years. He kept telling us her numbers looked good and her cancer was shrinking and to keep doing Elehare which was a new chemo treatment. (Which is a extremely pricey treatment). My mom's health kept diminishing and we brought up the fact she was having a hard time eating and my mom was just laying in bed most days. He just said to have her drink protein drinks and she would be fine and continue treatment. April 1st was her last chemo therapy. She began having a hard time keeping even liquids down. I decided it was time to take her to the ER. She had a scan done and it showed her cancer had spread throughout her entire abdomen,… liver, lungs, colon, ect. This did not show the progress Dr. Benjamin kept stating. The ER doctor was even upset at Dr. Benjamin for blatantly lying on her medical records. She passed away from a stomach abstruction 04/14/24. This man needs to be removed from practicing. His only concern is to obtain all the funds he can from your insurance and you. He doesn't care about his patients. I wouldn't go to him for anything! Please stay away from this doctor so you have a chance.

Dr. Ivor Benjamin is an excellent and extremely gifted surgeon! I recently had a very large and painful ovarian cyst removed, along with the affected ovary! Dr Benjamin's thoughtful and prompt attention for my care and well being was both encouraging and comforting, especially considering the possibility of a malignancy. I was grateful and appreciated Dr. Benjamin's expediency in getting my surgery scheduled. Thankfully, the cyst turned out to be benign. There were no complications from the surgery. I am now recovering quickly and healing well! Dr. Benjamin used the De Vinci robotic laparoscopic technique for my surgery so that it was minimally invasive. Due to his skill as a surgeon, I doubt I will even have any noticeable scaring from the surgery. I have complete confidence and trust in the excetional surgical skills and competence of Dr Benjamin! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Benjamin to anyone neeeding any kind of Gynecologic or Gynecologic Oncology surgery! I think he is simply the BEST!

He was not sympathetic, starting with the message that I had uterine cancer and needed a hysterectomy. He was distant during my cancer care and crass during my follow ups. He does not remember you and doesn't read your chart before entering the room. I would NOT recommend him to anyone.

No words to express his poor bed side manners. Definitely driven by his ego and reflects poor patient care.

The moment I walked into I was very comfortable. The office staff was very friendly, helpful and patient. Doctor Benjamin is so down to earth and caring. He looks you right in the eye and is aware of your concerns. I wish all my doctors were like him! Looking forward to my surgery and follow-up..I know I am in good hands!

Dr. Benjamin did not listen when I experienced a complication. He is more interested in publicity and has a crass bedside manner. There is something about him that is not quite right, but I cannot figure out what it is. I did some checking around and he has a long gap in his work history.

This surgeon operated on me then when I returned for a 6 month check he had forgotten he had operated on me. ( good reason to look at a patient's chart before walking in the exam room.) More surgery was required and he showed me a pamphlet of where the incisions would be. Imagine my surprise to wake up and find not one incision in a place on the pamphlet. I now have 5 permanent scars across my upper abdomen. So much for wearing 2 piece bathing suits. I look like I have been stabbed! He also kept forgetting that I am a plastic and reconstructive surgeon- a fellow surgeon. I know these scars he has left are permanent--nothing can remove them. He totally mislead me with his pamphlet.

Very experienced surgeon in robotic surgery which is what you want! Extremely knowledgeable and desires to expedite processes for treatment. I have complete confidence in Dr. Benjamin's diagnostic and technical skills. Support staff also very understanding.
