Dr. Izabela Sydney Shaw, MD

Dr Shaw is a great doctor, good bedside manners and listens to her patients.

Don't even think about seeing this doctor or even working here, she has had so many employees there every time we go, someone new. She treats them like slaves and talks down on them. She closes the door with an employee inside to talk about the others and does the same with everyone. She calls people FAT, UGLY, CRAZY. Trust me you dont want this lady as a doctor. She claims to be christian but goes to church just so her patients can see her and make herself look good. But she is a hypocrite . she is selfish. don't waste your time coming here. No compassion whatsoever although it may seem like she cares she will make the patient feel special and closes the door to tell her employees not to schedule another appointment because she didn't like them. (heard this from a current employee) so sad

I absolutely agree with the other writers she talk down to you she don't want listen to anything you have to say I don't even think she deserves to be call Dr. Before I go and visit this woman I am happy having good time but when you leave out of that office your whole world is turned upside down and then you have to wait two hours just to see the heathen. I do not recommend this lady for anything if I were you I would run and run very fast and don't look back.

We have been trying to get a medical release form from here for about 2 weeks for her much much needed cataract surgery. Many many calls no return calls or faxed paper to Cataract Surgeon.

Dr. Shaw does not seem to read your medical records, as I have COPD and she was suprised when a CT scan was done to see I had emphezma, and wanted me to see a lung specialist ASAP. But nothing was mentioned about the 7cm spot on my lung that was found until I was in her office a month later. My husband also sees her and he has alzheimer's and DR Shaw doesn't seem to know much about what happens with this disease. If a Dr. doesn't know much about a disease they should recomend someone that does know about the disease. I could not even get her to give me a referral to a neurologist for him. I would not recomend this dr to anyone.

Poor communication. Nasty long term office person who has no compassion and no patience. She will even tell you she has been doing her job for 11 years. My in-laws visited Shaw's office yesterday for the 2nd time to review test results ordered by her a month ago for my father-in-law. He's a newly diagnosed Alzheimer's patient. We've consulted a Geriatric specialist since our last visit with Shaw and came prepared for yesterday's visit with notes and knowledge we'd acquired to share with her to enhance our father-in-law's care. She was insulted, threw the notes on a table and proceeded to inform my in-laws that she basically knew everything. She was verbally abusive and hurtful to both of them and when she (Shaw) was told my father-in-law was depressed, which is a normal process with Alzheimer's, she said he needed to go to a psychiatrist! I have been an intensive care unit nurse for 30 years, and an internist should be able to care for the "whole patient" by ordering appropriate meds without referring them out for every complaint. Shaw has no bedside manner and obviously doesn't appreciate knowledgeable or informed patients. I… wouldn't recommend anyone seeing this physician for anything!

Dr. Shaw is not currently my PCP, but she is OUTSTANDING. I was under her care about 5 years ago. I miss her pro-active approach to patient care. I changed to another provider because she was demanding from me to lose weight in order to improve my health and I was a poor patient. Because of her demand, and persistency I finally has lost 81 pounds and feel very healthy. I'm looking forward to have her as my PCP again.

I am so disgusted with the level of care I received from Dr. Shaw's office. I was just diagnosed with diabetes after having gone to this place for a year complaining about tingling fingers and feeling not like myself. She ran many blood tests and told me it was stress. Thank goodness I finally found a healthcare provider that listens. I am feeling so much better now that I'm on medication, and monitoring my blood sugar.
