Dr. James Gregory Rula

I have to say that Dr Rula is the most caring, respectful, outstanding bedside manner, knowledgeable surgeon/doctor I have had the pleasure to meet. Not only did he meet my expatiations, he went over and beyond! He operated on me and I had full confidence in his expertise. I had 3 hernias/with mesh surgery and his continued thoughtfulness carried through for days! He personally returns calls himself, and he is the first doctor I have ever been to that did that. If he is busy he will call or text right back. I highly recommend him for any needs from any patient. His office staff, and Elizabeth are fantastic! I am very very impressed! Greg Rula is outstanding!! I got my gallbladder out and he was amazing if you need anyone, I would recommend only doing him. He was so kind answered all questions and had an amazing humor very down to earth and outstanding person. Would 100% go back to him for any surgery.

Dr Rula is a competent and caring Dr. I felt very safe in his hands, and worried so much before surgery finding it to be successful and with so much less pain than previous surgery’s. Thank you Dr Rula!

Dr. Rula immediately put me at ease, especially since I am one of those white coat syndrome people. He is kind and very professional. I would strongly recommend him.

The front desk staff is rude. I filled out information on the computer the night before and then was made to refill it out again when I got there. Dr. Rula seems like an excellent person although I don't know how good of a doctor or surgeon he is because two weeks in a row my surgical procedure was canceled. Not very professional and very inconsiderate seeing as I had to take time off work and get ready for surgery twice without any result. If you did this to the doctor's office they would charge you but since I'm just a person I just have to deal with it.

I was referred to Dr. Greg by my primary care Dr. due to a staph infection that needed invasive surgery to remove. A couple or noteworthy aspects of this practice: 1 - they took me in the same day as my primary care office called them as late at 3pm to get me in. 2 - their staff is professional and efficient. 3 - his attending nurse (Diana) was superb and set me at ease the whole time. 4 - Dr. Greg was informative, quick, funny, and competent. He's all business, but has a great personality which i enjoyed. 5 - Dr. Greg was extremely capable to remove my abscess and explain all he was doing, and why it was important. Overall, i had a great experience at the Advanced Surgery Assoc. Would def. recommend to anyone.

Great Personality and skills, highly recommend

Dr. Greg Rula put me at ease with my surgical procedure by his relaxed, tell-it-like-it-is manner. He is confident, caring, and patient. (I had seen another surgeon in a different practice that scared me, nobody seemed happy to work there, and I felt like I was just a number.) I was nervous meeting Dr. Rula the first time, but he answered all my questions with grace, and gave me alternative choices to surgery just in case I wasn't ready. Once I made the go-ahead decision, he, his staff, and assistants were there for me every step of the way, and continue to this day. The atmosphere is upbeat and happy -- a sign of a great group because they like who they work with and enjoy working with their patients. If you have any type of concerns about a procedure you need done, I would encourage you to get a consult with Dr. Rula. I hope to stay healthy but if I need a surgeon, Dr. Rula's my guy!
