Originally from Portland, Dr. Duffy, decided it was time for a change and transitioned from a long career in the construction field. Giving up his general contractor's license to pursue full time school when his oldest daughter was just a few months old, Dr. Duffy put the first month of tuition on his credit card. They had faith that good things would follow. It was quite a journey and after 7.5 years of full-time school, the dream became a reality and the dental doctorate degree was achieved. Several months after graduation, Dr. Duffy and his family made the move out …of Portland to pursue his dental career in the rural community of Winston, Oregon. While there were many things they loved about the small-town lifestyle, the Duffy's missed friends and family in Portland and soon realized the Salem area looked like the perfect match to settle down and build a practice.
