It is easy to feel lost, shuffled from one doctor to the next never quite knowing what they are talking about and or not giving you the space to ask. I've felt like that many times. Not so with Jack Birnbaum M.D., I found he loves his work, continues to pursue additional educational and informational opportunities in his field of medicine and uses what he learns from his patients to better understand their health concerns. Then as a team, Doctor Birnbaum and his kind office staff do all they can to help alleviate concerns and work to achieve the best possible agreed upon care plan. After 12+ years I am thankful to have him in my life. I could not be happier. I was referred to Dr Birnbaum after my doctor found thyroid problems. After 10 days, I had heard nothing. I called his office and was told it takes a long time to get an appointment. After two more weeks, I called and left a message explaining that I was having problems. A week later, my doctor's office called to say they'd received a records request from Dr Birnbaum's clinic. After faxing the records, they got a call from Dr Birnbaum's clinic asking why they had faxed the records because I was not a patient there!I called Dr Birnbaum and spoke to the receptionist. She had me leave a msg for the nurse. I asked for a return call with an explanation -- never heard anything about it, and never got a call from Dr Birnbaum about the referral either.This elevayes Dr Birnbaum and staff to a whole new level of uncaring doctor in my eyes. Also very unprofessional.
