Dr. Jack W Clark, DO

Complete waste of time and money. After three visits and blood work that shows multiple issues, the best he could offer was shrugging his shoulders; he has no idea what could be wrong. I cannot believe this "doctor" has helped anyone ever in his career.

Dr. Clark asked how I was. I said I'm good, wish D. was doing as well as I am." A minute later he gave me an odd look and said "I didn't understand you. I can't listen to you when I'm typing." I waited until he stopped and looked at me. Again I repeated what I'd said. Again he immediately ignored me, looked away and went back to typing." Again he asked "what did you say?" I said slower, "Dan had rotater cuff surgery but I'm fine." A moment later he said, "Well your shoulder seems to look OK." I said "D. had the surgery." Then he said incredibly, "What does that have to do with you and why are you here?" I said "I'm here for my appointment, okay?" Dr.Clark then said, "Don't use that tone of voice with me? He stared at me." Then he asked if I had any swelling. (whenever I've had swelling he dismissed it, said that I don't). I said, "No I don't." He didn't say anything. I added, I added that I'd like to stop taking gabapentin during the day because it knocks me out during… the day. I do take 2 at night to help me sleep. (He had prescribed 2, 100 mg pills 3 times a day) and I find one tramadol helps when I need something for pain. He asked me to get on the table. I asked him if he had had time to look at the x-rays my primary doctor had ordered of my knees, feet and back which she faxed to Dr. Clark. He said, "What do you mean?" I said "she asked if I had had baseline x-rays done and felt we needed those." He said "what's that got to do with me?" I said "I thought you'd want the x-rays since you're my rheumatologist." Again he asked if I had any swelling. Again. I said no I'm fine. He said I was not to use that tone of voice with him. I said "What?" He went off! Yelling "How dare you talk to me like this, who do you think you are?" I am a doctor young lady, I won't have this! No I won't! Do you understand? Do you? At that point I was shaking and defensive- "Dr. Clark, You work for me. I'm your patient. You have no right to talk to me like this. You're being absolutely unprofessional. I pay you 100.00 every 3 months and my insurance pays for your services." He ordered me out of the room and said "I'm discharging you as my patient. I never want to see you again. Leave!" When I walked out his nurse looked at him like she was horrified. As I was leaving I said to another nurse, what am I supposed to do about prescriptions? Dr. Clark must have been listening he came around the corner and said I'll give the nurse your prescriptions. You can wait in the waiting room. This is the third time in two years I've been to see him without my husband. He doesn't act like this when my husband is in the room. Although he's always offish and somewhat rude. When I'm alone, he's been dismissive and deaf to my issues. Another appointment after having a colitis attack I asked him would he change me from the pills to the injectable methotrexate? He had a fit and said none of his patients have ever had stomach issues with methotrexate in pill form. Yet one of the first adverse reactions with methotrexate pills is stomach pains. Finally he agreed to put me on the sub Q the next time when D. was with me. D. told him I wasn't sleeping at night because of the stomach pains and that it hasn't stopped. I have the type of PSA that attacks my ligaments, tendons and my joints. My achilles tendon, feet, hands turn beet red, swell, then the skin cracks wide open and bleeds. I have pictures to document this. Yet he refused to change any medication. He will not put me on a biologic because he says my insurance won't cover it. I'm speaking out because I don't want this to happen to any more of his patients and I hope more of his patients speak out.

Dr. Clark is friendly. If you make an appointment in the afternoon it takes awhile to get your appointment.. if you call in for your prescription for pills sometimes it takes a while for Doctor clocks to call in the prescription.

I have finally found an RA Dr that I love. You can actually have a conversation with him without feeling rushed. I was diagnosed 4 years ago. I was seeing a different Dr who wouldn't give me the time of day. The medicines that Dr. Clark has prescribed me are working, and for the first time in 4 years, I have no swelling in my joints, and I feel great! Thank you Dr. Clark. I recommend him highly!

Great experience

A visit to Doctor Clark is very interesting and very much hit or miss. His mood is unstable, he is unable focus, has a limited attention span and has a big bad ego. A true doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, what you see in the room is an over staged elaborately act, quite entertaining but also irritating. On one particular visit my mother told me he said “okay we are done goodbye”. He went into his office and closed the door. My mother had a few choices words for him. Cut to the chase avoid this character, this doctor needs to see a doctor himself.

My first visit and loved I dont have any paint now,I feel grate.

I thank Dr. Clark for taking care of me for many years. It is a pleasure to have him as one of my doctors.

I thank Dr. Clark so much for coming to my rescue. When I was in need of medical attention, the only health care provider I was able to access was a PA who did not know what to do about my hand. His RX for prednisone cleared up all this pain I had in about five days and now I am almost symptom free. I really appreciate him so much and appreciate his advice, time and concern. I am a grateful patient.

Because of good-hearted people like Dr. Clark, this world is a nicer place. I thank Dr. Clark for helping me to feel better. I hope all the good he does comes back to him.
