Dr. Jack Hudson Deckard, MD

Dr. Deckard is very direct in his findings and as to what he will do as far as surgery goes. He has staff update on the progress if surgery takes longer than normal or anticipated. Gives a good prognosis also.

Had an intercranial bleed. Dr. Decker was on the case, put me through an extensive exam, ordered tests. Felt very confident he would take good care of me.

I've seen this guy twice within a year to get a different opinion. He stands behind his "conservative therapy" which means nature takes its course and Deckard gets paid. Because spinal pain can be so idiopathic he only cuts you if your spine is grossly or obviously broken. 90% of the time, this is good, unless you're seeking pain relief and the cause is harder to find. My initial consult protected me from quick surgery, but here a year later my pain is worsening and he still offers no options/resolution. He patronizes the Insurance companies by underestimating your condition. Like I said, my condition has worsened and he can't see why? Who needs this? There are many neurosurgeons out there who are progressive and offer solutions. Get other opinions!!!
