Dr. Jack M Dorkhom

Dr. Mary Jo Tobin graduated from the School of Dental Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1996 and holds a B.S. Degree from the Nazareth College of Rochester. Following completion of her residency training at the Genesee Hospital in 1997, she joined the practice but also became involved with the residency program itself. Shortly thereafter she became the director of the General Practice Residency and was instrumental in moving it to Rochester General Hospital once Genesee closed.
Dr. Tobin’s experience at the hospital paved the way into private practice where she enjoys treating a variety of situations including oral surgery and patients with complicated medical conditions. In addition, she enjoys and has received extensive training in several other areas including cosmetics, implants and reconstructive dentistry. She is currently the Co-President of the Wayne County Dental Society and an active member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental …Association, Seventh District Dental Society and Monroe County Dental Society.
Dr. Tobin lives in Victor with her husband, Bob and their daughter, Catie. They enjoy traveling and spending time with friends.
Dr. Jack Dorkhom is a 1996 graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA and holds a B.S. degree from the University of Toronto. In addition, he completed a residency program in 1997 at Genesee Hospital, Rochester NY. After his training, he returned to Boston where he operated a successful practice for several years and was involved in clinical instruction of dental students at Tufts University. In 2004 he and his family decided to return to Western New York. Since then he has been actively practicing in the Rochester area and was at one point teaching at the dental residency training program at Rochester General Hospital.
Dr. Dorkhom strives to always remain current with the latest advancements and treatments in dentistry. Consequently, he has taken many hours of continuing training credit and has been involved in several study clubs in the area. His focus has been in the area of cosmetics but has also had considerable training in the fields of implant and reconstructive dentistry. He also completed extensive courses at the prestigious Dawson Academy in St. Petersburg, FL concentrating on TMJ and bite related issues. Dr. Dorkhom is an active member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, Seventh District Dental Society and the Monroe County Dental Society.
A native of Toronto, Dr. Dorkhom has called Rochester home for several years as his wife, Liz, is a native of Brighton. They, along with their son Chris, live in Pittsford and enjoy kayaking, running, golfing and hiking.
