Dr. Jack Friedman, MD

This is one of the rudest "doctors" I've ever encountered. Not only is he a blatant racist who asked me in my first visit "why black lives matter," but he also refused to work with me to stay safe during COVID. He wouldn't adjust his mask in his office, wiped nothing down and then called me "rude" for asking to do a virtual visit. This man is trash. DO NOT USE HIM FOR ANYTHING.

I have been seeing Dr. Friedman for over three and a half years, however I recently moved back to the East Coast. Dr. Friedman is kind, intelligent, professional and very knowledgable. Dr. Friedman does sometimes have patients wait for their appointments, not I believe because he over books, but because he takes his time and sometimes people are in need. He NEVER rushes you, listens carefully and responds thoughtfully. I will really miss my appointments with him and know I will never be able to replace him!

I wish i could give him a negative review. My 71 year old Mother was seeing Dr. Friedman until I took her in for an appointment. After waiting 55 minutes, he saw her in the office for no more than 5. She was escorted out to the waiting room where Friedman promptly demanded a check from me for the office visit. Only after he stuffed the check in his pocket did he hand her a prescription and escorted us out the door. I spoke with her pharmacist only to find out this Doctor was prescribing her a 21 day supply of medications instead of a normal 30 day. Forcing her to come in the office every three weeks instead of four weeks; more money this way. The nauseating drug's he was prescribing: 1 for pain, 2 different anxiety meds, 1 for sleep, 1 for depression, 1 for bipolar disorder? a medication for schizophrenia?? She has NONE of these disorders!!! After reading the reviews, I asked my mom if Friedman had treated her like this: yelling at her, hanging up on her... Yes, she had experienced it… all at one time or another. If you're seeing Dr. Friedman or if you're thinking about seeing him, please don't, find a competent physician who cares about your heath and is willing to listen to what you have to say. I'm happy to say that we have found her a new physician and she is improving. It has become very apparent that many of her problems were being caused by the medications he was prescribing. He also has a Burbank office. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MAN HE'S DANGEROUS!!!

I've been reluctantly going to this doctor since 2014 and I can say I've been verbally and emotionally abused. It's about time I find a new professional Doctor who I can truly depend on.

I must say I literally think there is something wrong with this psychiatrist. He mocks patients, has zero bedside manners, has very dodgy pay in advance demands (after reiterating he DOES accept your insurance) and he has no finesse or compassion in the therapy/talk aspect of a visit whatsoever. Save yourself the trouble. He has NO business being in the business of care of any capacity. I literally fear for people. I can't imagine someone truly needing help, feeling vulnerable, and being at the behest of this sociopathic ego maniac.

I would ignore the negative reviews below, they sound like they're written by the same person. Obviously a drug seeker not getting his way. I've been a patient of Dr. Friedman for a couple of years and am quite satisfied with his service and professionalism. He listens, he's personable and makes reasonable decisions about your care. He's not a psychiatrist as some reviewer claims. He is board certified in Anesthesiology and specializes in pain management and addiction. I would recommend him to my friends and family.

The most intelligent, caring Dr. I have ever met! He makes every attempt to change my schedule if something comes up! I feel very lucky to have found this man!!!!! Ii hope he reads this, he has helped me, I started with 16 mg. of Bupenorphine and am now down to two mg /day. Thanks to his knowledge.

I just had one appointment with hime, he says come and see me next month , unfortunately, i missed my appointment, . I call hime next day and told him that my money was not ready to come and see you.He starts saying unreasonable , and on purpose he gave me another appointment for 27 Days later. At all, he is really a guy just thinks about his money and he works sacramento in a free office means no charge for him. He is only many taker from people , he is rude and unreasonable, please do not to visit h please or change your doctor . He is jew and he hates Christian people.
