Dr. Jack Goetz Gilbey, MD

Dr Gilbey is attentive, thorough, and doesn't make me feel stupid for questions or concerns. Easy to get appointments and friendly support staff. It's rare to find a specialist that isn't too rushed or dismissive of complaints, especially for an overweight patient. What a great find!

Dr. Gilbey has an incredible bedside manner. He was always close by when I needed his advise an counsel. He took the time to listen and fully explain my medical issues.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gilbey for more than four years and consider him a great find. My experience with him is that he never talks down to me or intimidates me. He always listens patiently while I describe my symptoms and then discusses his diagnosis and treatment. He takes the time to make sure I understand his treatment as well as anything I need to do differently at home. I have much respect and confidence in him and could not be happier with him. I highly recommend him to anyone needing a pulmonologist. A GREAT DOCTOR!!

After a lengthy hospital stay, I needed a pulmonologist to follow up. I was still on oxygen & most uncomfortable with the physician the hospital had assigned to me. Once I was home and could get a list of specialists who accept my insurance, I called this office. I was told that I would have to get the permission from the previous physician to "be released" as his patient. After accomplishing this, I had to wait another 2 weeks "to be accepted as a patient". I was not permitted to even make an appointment without undergoing this process, even with a referral from my PCP. His office staff was rude each and every time I phoned in trying to get the appointment. Once I was in the office, I felt that my presence was an annoyance or inconvenience to them. I was fine with Dr. Gilbey as a doctor. His nurse is completely the opposite of the office staff; Warm, welcoming, and very helpful.
