Dr. Jack Harold Hasson, MD

Horrible experience taking my 81 year old mother to him. She’s having trouble breathing and he basically said it’s your fault that you’re “unconditioned” and you should join a gym. She is 81! Has had cancer twice, 11 surgeries, both knees replaced, both ankles broken and fused together, neuropathy in both feet and vertigo. Would not let us speak, interrupted us every time we tried to talk.

Worked with him for several months. After he thought I was “cured” I couldn’t get an appointment. He’s too busy and many of his patients don’t get the attention they need.

MY NAME IS JEARLDEAN THOMAS, I LIVE IN ENTERPRISE AL.I WORKED AT A FACTORY THAT MADE CAR PARTS, IN THE PROCESS, THE MACHINE I HAD TO USE WOULD AUTOMATLEY PUT GLUE ON THE PART, I GOT SICK, AND THE OWNERS WOULD DO NOTHING ABOUT, SO BY THE GRACE OF GOD I FOUND DR HASSON, HE AND SOME OTHERS CAME ALL THE WAY DOWN TO ENTERPRISE TO EXAMINE MY WORK PLACE, THEY DID NOT EXPECT THIS.I WAS PUT ON LIFETIME WORKSMAN COMP BECAUSE I CONTRACTED ASHMA, IF IT HAD NOT BEEN FOR DR HASSON I DON'T KNOW WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED, HE TOLD ME THAT THE KOREON GLUE THAT I HAD TO USE WAS 100 TIMES STRONGER THAN SUPER GLUE. HE IS MY HERO, AND ONE OF THE BEST DOCTORS I HAVE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF USING.

I saw this physician on 9-17-19. He was recommended to me by another specialist I see at UAB. He would ask me a question and before I could get the complete answer out he would interrupt me. I don’t think I ever got a full sentence out with out his interruptions. In order for him to understand my condition and how it started would take a little time of listening instead of just jumping to what he felt was what he wanted to hear. He ask me questions that he should have had the answers to right in front of him because I have had all the test done at UAB and the others physicians I see are at UAB. I was ask medical questions that he should have known. He also was planning on taking me off a medication that I had already stopped taking because it was harming me. His words. The physician that had prescribed the medication had just sent me a patient portal message that morning (17th) that my bloodwork looked good and my x-ray also looked good. Dr. Hasson said my bloodwork did not look good.… He said my chest x-ray looked normal but then went into this long explanation that I had Bronchiectasis. I feel like Dr. Hasson needs to stick to his Pulmonary practice and let the Rheumatologist and Immunologist do their jobs. This physician in my opinion is not professional. They made me an appointment for one year out and I have no intentions of keeping that appointment. There are plenty of Pulmonologist in Birmingham and I will find one with a better understanding of his field and his bedside manner and probably not at UAB.

I have seen many doctors about my ailment and they would often discount my concerns or they would claim they just didn’t know what was I was experiencing. In comes Jack Hasson. He gave me his undivided attention and didn’t stop until he was able to give me a name for what was making me so ill a name. He has been treating me for sometime now. I’m not 100% but I’m sure not where I once was. ??

The wait time to be seen has been 1-2 hours. Lung function Test results are never shown to me and gone over. There seems to be zero chance n getting seen even close to my appointment time. Doctor is very kind but I need to be seen closer to my appointment time and results need to be shown to me and thoroughly explained.
