My child developed a potentially life threatening post surgical complication, we were taken by ambulance to his ER. He immediately questioned me as to why I called 911. Told me there was no emergency, there was no reason for us to be there. She was completely covered in blood from her mouth to her toes. And he tells me that’s no emergency. He told my daughter that if she didn’t drink a bottle of water, he would have to stab her with a needle. When we asked him to explain when a post tonsil bleed was an emergency, he told us, “well you’re not a doctor so you don’t get it.” Well, obviously that’s why we asked. We were there less than 30 minutes when he discharged her. She began vomiting blood that she had swallowed during the active bleed seconds after we got home. Had he kept her to observe her for a little bit, that would have happened while we were there. She had emergency surgery at another ER where she was treated like a human being, and like someone that actually mattered less than… 15 hours later. This man is not a doctor. He is a careless human being that happens to have a medical license, that he shouldn’t have. Take some classes in compassion.
