Very caring and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this dr to anyone with mental illness issues.

Dr. Powitz was very friendly with a great sense pf huor. He appeared to have a vested interest in my issues which was a pleasant surprise. I would recommend him highly to anyone seeking a psychiatrist. The office staff were very nice too!

He was assigned to me at an inpatient facility and I just started going to him. All he did was give me prescriptions. When I told him one was making my blood sugar high, he told me that was not a side effect of that med. Ummm, it was the first side effect mentioned on the paperwork. Asked me when I thought I should leave the inpatient facility, not the other way around. Just seemed very rushed all the time.

In my first appointment with Dr. Powitz, I found him to be very thorough and friendly. He was very professional and up to date with the newer medications and side effects. i would definitely reccomend him to friends and family. His office staff were very nice.
