Dr. Jack Watkins Shilling, MD

My husband is 82 years old and has many health problems which was the main reason given us by 3 other reputable Surgeons for absolutely refusing to do this hip replacement surgery. Thankfully, when my husband's Cooper Endocrinologist, heard of our dilemma he advised us that his “go to” person for this would be Dr. Jack Shilling. Because of our high regard for not only his Endocrinologist, but for all of our Cooper Specialists, Primary Care Doctor and Cardiologist, we contacted Dr. Shilling praying he would not turn us away as the other Surgeons did. Dr. Shilling not only did not turn us away, but after very in-depth conferences with each of our Specialists, determined he could indeed give my husband back his quality of life which was really all we could ever hope or ask for. Dr. Shilling’s surgery was a complete success and my husband no longer has the excruciating groin and hip pain that he had for over 3 years...his quality of life is back!!

Having suffered with a poor knee replacement, I went to Dr. Jack. Looking for reassurance that I picked the correct Dr, I asked why are YOU the one to help me? Dr. Jack blew me off, he was busy and didn't have time for this, "you picked me, I did not pick you". I never went back. I think I made the correct choice.

He did my left knee replacement, and did an excellent job. His bedside manner was fantastic.

If you can overlook him being a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, then you can't go wrong with Dr. Shilling. He's easy to talk to, has excellent people skills and takes the time to explain your issues & all options available to address them. He takes a sincere interest in his patients well being and it shows.

I found him to be amazing at what he does.He is also very pleasant to deal with.I would strongly recommend and refer him.
