He went on to complete his Doctorate of Dental Science degree in 1984 at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, again finishing in the top 10% of his class and a member of the National Dental Honor Society.
Since that time, Dr. Stephens has maintained membership with a variety of professional organizations and groups as a means of staying up with the latest in the field of dentistry: he's a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of General Dentistry, and the Houston District Dental Society where he serves on the Peer Review Board. Further, he takes part in Dental Study Clubs twice a month.
In terms of ongoing education, Dr. Stephens has completed a two-year advanced course in Implants and Orthodontics logging …over 1,200 continuing education credits. Dr. Stephens and his wife Robin have two children, Zach and Brooke. For fun, he enjoys fishing, skiing (both snow and water), and scuba-diving.
