He is an honors graduate of Illinois State University, class of 1976 and an honors graduate of the University of Illinois College of Dentistry, class of 1981.
Having completed extensive continuing education in T.M.J and Oral Facial Pain, Dr. Walz continues to stay up-to-date with ongoing research, studies and training. Dr. Walz has been providing treatment of Oral Facial Pain and T.M.J. disorders for 30 years. He has treated over ten thousand patients in his career and lectured on this topic to medical, dental and chiropractic associations. Dr. Walz is the Oral Facial Pain and Sleep Apnea instructor for the dental residency program at O.S.F hospital. He is board certified in both Pain Management and Oral Facial Pain Management.
