Dr. Jackie Chi

Caution she is a traveling periodontist works 32 locations (my dental office dropped her). Dr. Jackie Chi, periodontist, is incompetent, dishonest, & cruel. She told me I needed $15,000 of periodontal work. Two 2nd opinions (dentist & periodontist): I did not need any work & the tooth could be saved or removed (preferred), 3 choices of sedation + a list “what to do” before & after surgery was advised with handouts. Dr. Chi extracted an infected tooth with bone grafting (for future implant) only. Dr. Chi overcharged my co-payment by $650. Prior & post surgery - she had no patience or interest in explaining the procedure. She was behind schedule, so for 3 hours she would repeat painful shots for numbing. Removal was excruciating, with continuous stabbing of shots, hitting tooth to crack it & ineffective extraction/pulling of tooth. I was sobbing, she was irritated & annoyed. She told me “why didn’t I go to an oral surgeon” & repeatedly said “do you want me to stop & you can go… to an oral surgeon.” She knew my dental office assigned me to her. To go home with a partially pulled/cracked tooth was an inhuman alternative. Later I leaned from my dentist: shots do NOT numb an infected tooth, Dr. Chi was not strong enough to extract the tooth, procedure should have been less than 45 minutes & she should have offered me sedation. Also Dr. Chi did not stop my taking baby aspirin prior & ordered a prescription I am allergic to post surgery (my pharmacist would not fill it), no discussion/poorly brief written information for post home care. Also the bone grafting for the implant had to be done again by an oral surgeon which was costly.
