Dr. Jackline Ngalame (Dr. Bess) is the founder of Empower Psychiatry, a telehealth practice located in Las Vegas, NV. She offers mental health services remotely within Nevada and in the states Florida, Kansas, Minnesota, New York, Colorado and Washington. Dr. Ngalame is board certified in psychiatry and family practice as a nurse practitioner. She has particular interest in working with children, teens, and adult patients. Dr. Ngalame is passionate about mental health and enjoys helping patients attain a stable mental state by empowering them through motivational interviewing, supportive counseling and cognitive behavioral therapy approaches. Her treatment approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, holistic in nature and comprehensive. Dr. Ngalame graduated with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Chatham University, a Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Albany State University, and a Post-Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric and Mental Health nurse …practitioner from the University of Southern Indiana.Dr. Ngalame brings a conservative approach to the practice of mental health. When medications are indicated, she often starts with the lowest possible dosages, recommending medications that are FDA approved for conditions she treats. She monitors your progress through follow-up sessions. She employs evidence-based psychotherapy approaches in treatment. The intention is to help patients by using a comprehensive and holistic approach in the provision of mental health services. Dr. Ngalame also works and encourages her patients to make lifestyle modifications to improve their overall physical and mental well-being when appropriate.
