Dr. Jaclyn Smith

Jaclyn Smith is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with 12 years of experience in mental health. She is passionate about helping children, adolescents, and young adults address unique challenges and live more fulfilled lives. Jaclyn specializes in trauma, sexual and physical abuse, anxiety, ADHD, grief, parenting issues, behavioral issues, life transitions, and stress. Jaclyn completed her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at St. Mary's University and her Bachelor's in Psychology from Texas A&M University. She has a wealth of experience working with clients in inpatient and outpatient settings. Jaclyn utilizes multiple treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy. She utilizes play therapy and art therapy techniques with younger clients to meet their developmental needs while maintaining a CBT focus.
