Dr. Jacob Lev Kaufman, MD

I can only second what was said before: he is totally unprofessional, very arrogant, rude and vagarious. I had a very bad experience with him and, the most important thing, he did not help. It was a complete waste of my time and money. He was so supercilious and impatient with me, so that I have doubts that he has ever tried to listen his patients. He indeed can be very pushy and aggressive, with marks of sneaky behavior and infantile reactions. Overall, I think he is an inexperienced doctor plus an immature person. Avoid him!

Very bad experiences. Not kind at all. Doctor Kaufman was caught rolling his eyes and talking about me under his breath. He was very pushy and aggressive and made numerous not so nice comments to me requiring him to eventually feel bad and apologize to me twice. All documented office notes definitely do not reflect my visits/discussions being nearly complete opposite of what we discussed in total. He down played my referring Neuro regarding everything we spoke about as if only he was correct. His EMG was extremely painful as the needles were shoved in my skin/knee so hard I had bruises and limped with shooting nerve pain for 3 weeks. I had to ask him numerous times to stop the test. I have never experienced that with EMGs done by other Neurologists ever. Upon follow up visit he didn’t remember any of it and was rude as if it didn’t happen. He definitely displays poor behavior, is not a gentleman and acts like a spoiled child who didn’t get his own way. He portrays himself… as caring yet on paper made me seem like a liar and everything documented was entirely different than what actually transpired on each visit. Why apologize to me after you act improper if you really don’t mean it? Your staff heard you. Arrogant as heck. Don’t go to him.

I travel 2 hours to see Dr. Kaufman, I have only seen him once but was impressed! I truly felt he listened and cared about my feelings. Going back soon for a follow up and can’t wait!

Dr. Jacob Kaufman, neurologist Rittenhouse is the most professional, thorough, talented, compassionate and conscientious Dr. I have ever met. He goes above and beyond and is extremely smart and caring. Everything a Dr. should be. I totally trust him in caring for my illness and HIGHLY recommend him to anyone and everyone. What a phenomenal physician.
