Dr. Jacob Moussai, MD

I was under the care of this doctor for a very short time. Unfortunately, despite my complex and well-documented medical history, they made quick assumptions about me without doing proper investigation, testing, or thorough review of my records. Their decisions felt more rooted in fear of liability than genuine patient care, which caused unnecessary distress and disruption in my treatment plan. I hope this doctor takes patient history and individual circumstances more seriously in the future.

Dr. Moussai is the most incredible psychiatrist and therapist. He's extremely intelligent and qualified, and his knowledge of conditions and medications is superior to all the clinicians I've seen combined. He does a thorough evaluation and really gets to know his patients before treating them. It feels like he's known me for a lifetime. Then, he will provide his medical opinion and encourage you to look into it, discuss it with your therapist, spouse, etc. He's flexible and recognizes that he doesn't have all the data points from patients lives. He informs clients about medications, why he's prescribing something, what potential effects to be aware of, etc. He is a proponent of therapy, not just using medication to band-aid the problem (he'll even do some therapy with you, which is so much more beneficial than other psychiatrist who will see you for 5 minutes!). He involves his clients in the treatment process so that it's collaborate, which is empowering and makes me so comfortable… entrusting him with my care. Dr. Moussai is so thorough, but also empathetic. He has the perfect approach and truly cares for his patients, resulting in amazing outcomes. He's very available for clients struggling and his portal makes scheduling so easy and convenient. If you have the opportunity to entrust him with your care, do it. He's changed my life and is unlike any other provider I've ever seen. He gave me hope in such a dark time. We need more doctors like him.

Dr. Moussai is amazing! Everyone who I have sent to him or brought with me to a session has absolutely loved him too and wanted to see him as their own therapist. If you’re lucky enough to find him when he’s accepting new patients, jump at the opportunity! He’s extremely smart, non-judgmental, and knows exactly what to say to get me to where I need to be. When I saw him regularly, my self-esteem was at an all-time high because of how he built me up and made me see myself. He has ultimately been right in almost everything he’s ever opined on or told me, even if it took me years to figure it out. He’s engaging and relatable, and really understands me. I have never liked any other therapist and wish I could afford to see him multiple times a week!

You can tell him anything and don't have to worry about what he will say or is thinking. To say I highly recommend him is an understatement.

Dr. Moussai has been nothing shy of amazing of helping me! I am still fairly new, only being a patient for 2 month, but in those 2 months, he has helped in more ways that I thought possible!! I highly recommend him!! With 2 months in the books, there are many more to come of him helping me!!!!!

He is kind, caring, knowledgeable, and no none sense kind of a doctor. He will give you the accurate diagnosis and the best treatment....highly recommend him.
