Jacob Peterson, MD is a board-certified physician by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Peterson was born and raised in Atkinson, NE. He graduated from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA with a degree in Biology- Health Professions and a concentration in Neuroscience. He performed research in immunology and immune neurobiology through the University of Nebraska of Lincoln and University of Nebraska Medical Center before attending medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). He completed his residency in 2018 in UNMC’s Primary Care Program, a dual training program in internal medicine and family medicine.
