Dr. Jacob Sedgh, MD

I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Jacob Sedgh following a chin implant procedure. I chose him because I was told the implant would be customized during surgery. He arrived about 1.5 hours late on the day of surgery. The procedure was performed under local anesthesia and I experienced significant pain, including feeling instruments contacting bone, without additional anesthesia being provided. After surgery, my chin was visibly asymmetrical, with the left side sitting higher and bulkier. I developed pressure on my lower teeth, numbness in my lip and chin, and could feel the implant protruding inside my mouth. I repeatedly tried to speak directly with Dr. Sedgh but was told he does not take postoperative calls. Follow-up was delayed and I was advised to wait two more months to reassess despite worsening symptoms. I ultimately required revision surgery. The implant was found to be malpositioned and had to be surgically corrected. The original implant was removed intact… and unmodified despite being told it would be customized. I would not recommend this surgeon.
